Dr. Will Bulsiewicz and his wife, Valerie, have busy, successful careers, but they also know the value of time spent with family, making Tropical Smoothie Cafe a perfect gathering spot for their crew. Sarah Grace likes to bring her own curvy straw. Her younger brother, Liam, is always up for a good time. Dr. B., as he’s known, is a board-certified gastroenterologist and gut health expert. He enjoys incorporating smoothies, supplements and probiotics into his treatment plans. In 2016, he started @TheGutHealthMD on Instagram to connect with his patients and share his passion for gut health. It has grown into the internet’s most trusted source for gut health tips and advice and includes a Facebook page, website and email newsletter, as well as podcasts. Dr. B. has over 56,800 Instagram followers. Valerie is a professional model and was Miss South Carolina in 2011.
The Bulsiewicz family’s matching outfits are from Southern Tide, and Valerie’s jewelry is handcrafted by Emily Blundell of Tassel Jewels.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe is located in The Market at Oakland in North Mount Pleasant. Jeff Walker, the franchise owner, is opening a second location on Coleman Boulevard in December. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a casual, health-conscious chain featuring custom smoothies, sandwiches and wraps.
